OT- Bachelor question

I know this is a dumb question but I had to ask!

I had to tape the Bachelor and just finished watching it during Julia's nap. During his dinner with Meredith's family, her dad said that Oprah hates Bob. What happened there? I thought everyone loves Bob. Anyone know?

What? Oprah hates Bob? I thought she loved him! Hasn't he been on her show (or at least a guest in her audience) a half dozen times or so? I have to know the gossip on this!

no no no!!! oprah does NOT hate bob!!

meredith's dad said WHAT IF everything went bad all of a sudden... he asked bob what he would do if suddenly the show was over, the girl he picked didn't work out, he was publicized as a jerk, etc. etc. the dad was making a bit of a joke, saying, "what if everything suddenly went sour and oprah started to hate you. what would you do?"

and bob said something about how it won't go sour because he is happy or how it won't matter or something not very interesting.

edited to add: HOW funny is Ellen Degeneres every wed when she talks to bob??? how funny was it when ellen told him to get rid of (ohmigaw, i have already forgotten her name!!!) the icky girl who created all the drama?? i can't wait to see what ellen says next week, because she ALWAYS ends it by saying that meredith is the girl for him.

meredith was my fav. too bad. but i understood what he meant about not really knowing her, except for grieving.

and kelly jo is certainly PRECIOUS.

Liza- Thank you for clearing that up. My VCR sucks and it records all fuzzy so I must have misunderstood.
