Oh nooooo! Everything is ear bound!!!! Granted, most of his toys wouldn't fit in his ear, but those he's very attached to of late (Magna Doodle pen, wooden stacking pole, and a pen with no ink) are all pretty bad for the ear canal, no? And to try and take them away!!!

I will have to do it under cover of night. I don't know where he got this from. Even his toothbrush heads in that direction!

Oh, no, Gannon found an empty body cavity and wants to fill it!

I can't wait (dripping with sarcasm)!!

Oh, Joanne! Your Gannon posts make me laugh, but also fill me with dread about my own DS, who pokes himself in the eye now that he's discovered he HAS eyes! What is next? I wish I had advice but all I have is hugs--I wish I could come over and give you a Gannon-free hour!

I love (er, dread, now) my mom's M&Ms story about me as a 3 year old. I secretly think it was partly her fault- she must have made a habit of sneaking my snacks when I wasn't looking. She bought me a bag of M&Ms at the grocery store, and when we got home, it was my naptime. I begged to take the M&Ms to bed with me, and mom agreed that I could set them on my nightstand, but couldn't eat them until after my nap. I was so afraid they'd be gone when I woke up that I packed the rest of them down into my ear. I had to go to the ENT specialist's office and the whole bit. Wheeew, was mom upset! But now, I can only imagine how she must've felt! ;)

LOL Julie, that is so funny!!! We used to have to tell my brother all the time at dinner that nobody was trying to steal his food...He would just woof it down like crazy, with this panicked look on his face!!

Thanks for the laugh. (Or...the fear!) :D

DS is sticking his stuff in his ears too. DH thinks he's copying what we do with Qtips. He sits there with a crayon in each ear. It's too funny. In his bath last night, I was cleaning green, orange, red out of his ears. I agree, this can't be a good thing. But then, with a child who has swallowed a battery, I'm just glad he's found a new orifice!

I wondered if it was an ear cleaning thing too. Today it was goldfish cracker.

Oh no I had forgotten about those days!!!! DD stuck a lollipop stick in her ear that meritted an emergancy trip to the doctor at one point. Needless to say she did NOT recieve a lollipop for behaving at the doctor's office, they gave her a sticker instead!
