lukykatt....help w/ reimbursement for car seat

I need to submit info. from the manufacturer (britax) that the car seat needs to be replaced but they only recommend replacement if the crash was severe. can you help me out? thanks.

Ok, I went on Britx's website. They define "severe" as a crash that damages the frame of your car. Did that happen in your accident? If not, I would contact Britax and see if they would put into writing that they recommend that your car seat be replaced. If they won't, then I would contact your State's agency that funds the techs who inspect the carseats and see what their recommendation is on replacing carseats. Maybe something from them would suffice.
