I'm looking for a cute stocking for DS first Christmas. I had planned on making it, but now that December starts tomorrow, I don't think it is going to happen. Any online ideas for me?? Personalization would be cool too. Thanks!

We have the Land's End stockings, DD has the teddy bear one which is really cute, there's also a toy one (you can click on the small samples to see a better view of it). We also had our names put on them. They look really nice, and I like knowing we can add another one when baby #2 comes along. http://tinyurl.com/x5qi

Pottery Barn Kids has a nice selection. I ordered the snowman themed one for DS yesterday - they had free personalization and free shipping on certain items on their website. They have a stocking that specifically says Baby's First Christmas that you can get personalized with the name and they have regular ones that don't say first christmas but can be personalized. We went with a regular one that we will use year after year.

We have this one from One Step Ahead:

We actually have 2 different versions of it (purchased in 2 different years) so we have one for each child. You can personalize it for a few dollars extra.

The velcro attached toys are great and work well even if baby still chews on everything since they are made of cloth and can be thrown in the washer.

If you change your mind and decide to make your own stocking then these are really cute. And they don't look that difficult.

The Lands End ones are cute and we just got the Crate and Barrel catalog yesterday and I like theirs too - a little more modern.

I ordered new stockings for the whole family at JCPenney (since this is DS's first Christmas I wanted them all to match). They can be personalized too. I am not able to set up a link for some reason but you can go to jcpenney.com, search for needlepoint stocking, and it will bring up several choices. They're all the same stockings, but they are shown on the website with the regular price and the sale price. Click on the different options until you find the sale price ones-should be 11.99 each (includes personalization). They are also having free shipping on orders of $25 or more. I got mine and think they're really cute!
