I'm using Shutterfly to make photo Christmas cards. I have two great photos of Tom and I am torn - the first one is a great shot of his smile but the second one really shows his mischievous side.

I could really use some advice here...which is your favorite?

Oh I love them both!! I think #2 is cute because it show's how big he has gotten this past year kwim? Now he is big enough to "help" with the tree.

:-) My in-laws were in town for three weeks so I had a built-in babysitter in my house. Otherwise, who knows when I would have been able to have done everything!

I like #2 with his little tummy showing. I think it is so cute. You put us all to shame (or me at least) with your tree and wrapped presents! How do you find the time for all of that and Tom?!?!?!?

You can't lose, really. He's so precious! But I like the first one because you can really see his sweet face.

I know the glasses have been a nightmare, but they really are so cute I can't even believe it. I LOVE to see pictures of Tom.

without looking at any other influence I say hands down #1!!!!
I love capturing mischievios But at quick glance #2 if not there when the picture was taken actually looks angelic like he is decorating the tree.

But you can not go wrong with either he is so precious, and is growing up so fast!!!!

They're both adorable, but I vote for #1 because you can see his expression better. A little off topic but did you ever see a commercial for some kind of smart refridgerator where the couple has a little boy with glasses? It's been a while since I've seen it but it reminds me of Tom sooooo much. He's just so darn cute in those glasses!!!

I vote for #1 as well. I agree with Lisa that he looks adorable with his glasses by the way!!! My nephew is 3 and he just got glasses, and I love how they look on these little guys!!!

And yes, I noticed the fully decorated tree and the number of wrapped gifts under it too.

Thank goodness I'm not alone, Tammy! I've been seeing everyone's houses "done-up" already. Christmas outfits bought, presents wrapped, photos taken, and we haven't even pulled the decoration box out of the cellar. We are going to buy a tree this weekend though, I swear. when we get it up is another story entirely...

I like #2, Lisa. Him helping the tree is adorable.

#2. I like the spontaneous, candid camera shot as opposed to the usual "smile and look at the camera" pics. It's artistic but that's just me.

I vote for #1. You can really see his face/smile and there's a hint of his mischievous side.

Oh man, did I feel a little inadequate seeing those pics. I still don't have a Christmas outfit for DD yet. I was going to try to get one this weekend (or see if my parents would pay for me to order a Hanna Andersson dress). Forget the tree, presents, pictures, etc. AACK!!! panic slowly setting in.....

I love the smile, the glasses, and that hint in his expression that he's thinking of mischief to create!

Thanks for the compliment! Yes I love that commercial - it's Maytag commercial. I love it because in addition to the cute baby in glasses, there is a geeky Dad and a gorgeous Mom. I told my DH they modeled that family after us and that geeky guy looked like him and he replied "well, that woman looks NOTHING like you." Ha, ha - I guess I deserved that!

I just wanted to thank everyone for all the advice (and compliments!) It really cracks me up that so many of you thought it looked like Tom was "helping" to decorate the tree in pic #2. He was actually grabbing ornaments, yanking on branches and creating havoc. He broke two of my ornaments and almost pulled the tree down on himself during this photo session! It's a good thing I have the tree behind a gate. You may also notice that the area of the tree around him is devoid of ornaments - he pulled them down before I took the picture!

Neve,

I was SHOCKED when I looked at these photos how much my baby looks like a little boy! I don't know why I didn't see it in person but looking at the photos really stunned me. He IS growing up fast!

They are both great, but I have to say #2 gives me such a laugh. That cute little belly peeking out just cracks me up!

I really like #2 because it isn't a typical Christmas photo, but it certainly is a toddler in action!!

And I love the sweater!! It's adorable on Tom!

I like #1 because you can see his face better - especially if your sending cards to people who live away from you and don't get to see him a lot. But you can never go wrong with showing a little toddler tummy!
