My brother just moved there for a year. I want to send him a gift certificate for Christmas (I don't want to send him anything that he will have to ship back.) He is 24, in the computer industry and loves to hang out on Waikiki Beach...any ideas for fun places (where I can order something on-line)?
Thanks!

If he's in need of Hawaiian shirts, check out www.hilohattie.com and www.tommybahama.com (you have to call the store to order at Tommy Bahama). There is a Morton's if you want to buy him a great steak dinner www.mortons.com You can also get him a gift certificate at Ala Moana Shopping Center www.alamoanacenter.com but again, you cannot do it online. If he needs computer stuff, there is a CompUSA in Honolulu. You should also check the schedule for concerts and events at the Blaisdell Center www.blaisdellcenter.com I believe the Doobie Brothers and George Carlin are scheduled for the 31st.

Sam Choys is a very good and laid back restaurant in Honolulu and you can't go wrong w/ Roys......

BTW, I don't live there but I have visited.

If you haven't bought anything yet, how's about Dave & Busters? Most people end up hanging out there at one time or another, since it's central and lots of fun.

The GC purchase is at

You definetly cannot go wrong with Roys, I used to work there in highschool, lol :) I also love Alan Wongs Pineapple Room in Ala Moana. You can get a great meal there. You order a GC over the phone to any of those restaurants. They will mail it to him for you. If he hangs out in Waikiki a lot there is always the option for a GC to a fun restaurant/bar like Duke's.

Thank you all SO much! I just ordered him two Gift Cards (Dave and Busters, CompUSA). They are just perfect! He is only 24 and his tastes are not too refined...but the restaurants were added to my favorites list for our upcoming vacation to visit him!!!
I knew I could count on you all!
