Once again, DS woke up SCREAMING from his nap because his legs were caught in the bars of the crib. He has recently been found trying to climb out of his crib as well. Any advice???? I know he is NOT getting his legs caught in there on purpose...

Melissa,

Could you put the bumper pad back in and get a crib tent? My nieces were notorious for climbing out of their crib. My brother and his wife bought a mesh crib tent and it worked like charm.

Or do you think he might be ready for toddler bed? Katherine was out of her crib at about 18 months old, because she kept throwing herself out of the crib. We didn't even know about crib tents at the time. We put a twin mattress on the floor and she had no problems. By the time she was 2 years old, we gave her our old queen size mattress set when we got a king size. She slept just fine on the queen size (with no safety bed rails) and never fell out. I am not advocating the use of no bed rails - just saying we didn't need them!

HTH and good luck!
