OMG, OMG, OMG!!!!

I applied for a job on the spur of the moment on Monday afternoon, and they called me within an hour to set up an interview! Wow! I had the interview today, and at the end they told me that if anyone approached me offering me a job, please call them first. Then they said that they were going to go ahead and continue with the interviews scheduled for the rest of the afternoon, but they were really interested in me, and they wanted me for the position! By the time I got back to work, they called and offered me the job! AHHHHHHHHH! I’m going to be a computer tech at two elementary schools—it’s in my degree area, so I’m thrilled!

Right now I work a 216-day calendar as a middle school bookkeeper, but with the new job I’ll be working a 196-day calendar (same days as dh who is a teacher). Even with the fewer days, I’ll be making more money, which is a God-send.

This is great – I graduated 1.5 years ago and have been frustrated because I haven’t been able to get a job in my field. I can hardly wait to start!
