OT: Edwards AFB..need stores

BIL and SIL are being transferred from Germany to Edwards AFB....can anyone point me in the right direction are far as what department stores (chain!) are in that area? We want to get them a wedding gift, as they tied the knot while in Germany and we have yet to meet SIL!

Well, I think Mojave is the town where Edwards SFB is, and there isn't anything to speak of there that I know of. I think the closest for shopping would be Lancaster and then a little further is Palmdale. These are both heading toward LA. I think there is a fair amount of shopping there, but I'm sorry I don't know what. I am sure there is a Target in Lancaster, I think I have been to it, but I can't be positive. There is a small outlet mall there.

Yup Edwards is close to Lancaster and Palmdale... I know they have a Target, Walmart etc.... the bigger chain stores! I know there is a mall in the Palmdale area, about 30 minutes or so from Edwards AFB... The Antelope Valley Mall has these dept stores
