View Full Version : Big Sophie News!

She walked!!! Wednesday night while in her "corral" (super baby gate thing)!

I dozed off watching the news and when I woke up she looked at me, took two steps, fell, got back up took four more steps and then sat down and laughed!!!!

The funniest part is that she's a "heavy walker". JUST like Jonathan! Finally, some sign that she's his daughter (she looks just like me - down to her little hands and feet ) :P

The other news is that we went to our new ped, who was not only very, very nice, but was also pretty easy on the eyes for Mommy ;).

Sophie-Soph is 18 lbs. 4 oz. and 26-1/4" tall at just over 13 months old. She's in the 10th percentile for height and weight, but her noggin measures in at 50th percentile, even.

Basically she's just Sophie sized!

Oh, and I'm starting them there fertility drugs tonight. Crazy timing, huh?

Hi, Marisa!
I did find a highly recomended fertility specialist in my area who is asoociated with HUP (Hospital of the University of PA) and he has an office only 15 minutes away. I have met with him twice in the past week, had a bunch of bloodwork done that showed nothing, I am STILL 25 days late and have not officially miscarried yet but did not have a measurable HCG level, and on and on. He gave me a prescription to bring on my period but I am nervous to take it so I am holding on through the weekend to see what happens. He wants me to start doing basal temperature readings once I am through this month, not try and get pregnant next month, and do a uterine lining biopsy about 3 weeks into my next cycle which is supposed to tell him about my prgesterone level.
Are we having fun yet???!!!???!!!
Good luck to you!

Oh YUCK.

Did he give you Provera? There is another drug that is safer if you DO happen to be pregnant. I can't remember at the moment what it is, but the doctor mentioned it to me last time I was there. I'm sure your RE will know what it is.

GOOD LUCK to BOTH of us!!

Yeah! Congrats to Sophie! Your life will never be the same. DS started walking a month ago and he won't sit still.
I'll send good fertility vibes your way if you return them. We start the drugs at the end of Feb. to do IVF again. Ugh. Hopefully within the next few months we will have a lot to be excited about for all of us. We need a few more babies around here.

Yeah, I just checked my prescription and it is Provera. Despite the negative tests, I have just never been this late before and not had it mean something - I think because of this I am very reluctant to take something to bring on my period "just in case". I am going to wait until at least Monday, maybe repeat a pregnancy test for my own peace of mind, and then get the prescription filled. I just wish if it wasn't going to happen this month, then it would just be over with already - this is making me nuts!!!
