Experience nanny sharing??

Does anyone have experience sharing a nanny? I'd like to take my son out of daycare (you may have seen my grumble about sicknesses in the bitching post), and may try to share a nanny (2 days/wk with us, 3 days/wk with another family). I have no idea what this kind of arrangement would be like in real life...cumbersome? prone to time disputes? difficult to handle the accounting? or a lovely way to meet everyone's needs (both families and nanny)?

I'm interested to hear any feedback on the topic and suggestions for making it work (or skipping it altogether).

My cousin shares a nanny and finds that it works great. For only two days you might also want to look into a college/grad student. We use a nursing student, and she is wonderful. Good luck!
