What is the going rate?

I had somebody offer to do it for $100 including our front walks. I think it might be a little high, but since we're expecting 12"- 18", it might not be a bad deal.

Just hemmoraghing money in NJ...

$100? Holy Crap! I have no idea what the going rate is, but our neighbor does ours for free. In return I usually take brownies or cookies over. Guess I better come up w/ better Thank You tokens!

My hubby plows it for free! But my mom pays $30 for driveway only in southeastern Massachusetts.

I live in suburban MI, and it's 25-30 for the driveway. My parents live in OH, and it's 30, and their driveway is reaaallllllllyyyyy long.

Is your driveway exceedingly long or wide? $100 sounds extreme!

Gosh I don't knwo the answer...I do know that 12-18 inches is alot of snow...and unless a teenager shoveling snow triggers a lot of heart attacks...you're near NY and everything seems expensive there...

My dad insist on shoveling the snow in his driveway and it kills me...it is actually very dangerous for "older men" , that and chopping wood...and even basketball...

That would be right on par for around here.(Long Island:)) My dh did one driveway/ walk last year for a friend who had overflow jobs. He made $75 and that was just by hand and it was a short drive. (Why do we always put off buying a plow for dh's truck??!!! :()
