My computer yesterday wouldn't allow me to email, I am in a time crunch big time with my networking for my fund raising event...

But now today every few minutes I get a Norton pop up that says somehting like

"mailicuous intent"....and then something about a "malicious script"...

And then a choice to cancel script (which I keep pressing)
It shows itself every few minutes and I hear major activity in my computer (you know the sounds when it is "doing" somehting)

The script is saying it is called tsoe.vbs
Anyone know???????

Hi Neve,

It might be worth sending an email to Symantec's support center, but I don't think the tsoe.vbs script is a virus. I was able to find this discussion of tsoe.vbs errors:

Edited to say: To be on the safe side, you might want to run this free online virus scan from Trend. Sometimes it'll clean things that Norton can't.

Have you added any program or made any changes before this started popping up? Does XP have the System Restore option? Can you choose a date to restore to before this started happening?

You might also want to download the free trial version of Trojan Hunter to see what else might be lurking on your computer:

You also might want to download and install Ad-Aware to clean your system of any spyware:

Oh my goodnes...it is all so foreign to me...I'll have Steve do this when he gets home...thank you!!!!

He did do 'somehting" that cost us about $100 a trip to Best Buy and then this started...so I suspect that that did it...

If that is so not my life...buy something expesnive install it and find out it not only doesn't work but causes problems on top of that...

this has picked a god awful time to start doing this!!!!!
