The Best Thing Ever Invented

Hello Everyone!

To jump on "the stupidest thing..." post on the bitching board, I was wondering what everyone thought was the best thing ever invented.

My thinking right now is the cordless phone. I clean house while I talk to friends (or, at least I used to, BE (before Ellen).

Now maybe this is too basic of an answer, but I can't imagine living without indoor plumbing. I could cook over a fire and read by candlelight, but the thought of going to an outhouse in the middle of January in Pennsylvania makes me shudder.

The adjustable Christmas tree stand. You put the tree trunk into a cup and put the cup into the dome-like base, press the foot lever and behold, a straight Christmas tree. This saved our marriage.

Chocolate!!! Whoever came up with the idea of grinding those nibs & then conching to smooth it and adding sugar (and/or milk) was a GENIUS!!! (Second honors go to whoever decided to coat Strawberries with it!! :D )

Tostitos Scoops. I don't know why anyone ever made tortilla chips in any other shape in the first place. It's like a little shovel you can eat.

Along the lines of indoor plumbing, the hot water heater! A hot shower makes life soooo much better.
