Thanks everyone! We really had a wonderful day and weekend. This past weekend we went to Virginia and spent the weekend with my parents, brother, aunts, uncles, cousin celebrating Martie's birthday. I am really fortunate to have such a close extended family on my mom's side. We're even going to Toronto together this summer. My dad made a wonderful birthday meal for Martie. We had prime rib, fried potatoes, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole. Martie scarfed down sweet potato, which makes me wonder why she won't eat mine. Then we had cake and ice cream which Martie loved. I've attached a picture. We're going to have a local party on the 17th.

DH and I woke up early and we saw Martie's picture on the local news for being one years old. She was the only baby and the newscaster said how cute she was. Then when Martie woke up I sang to her and she was happy. We went on a picnic with some of our friends and had a nice walk. Martie zonked out and when she woke up, DH was home and we opened a few gifts. Then we had stuffed shells for dinner. I think Martie became a stuffed shell because she ate so much. It was a great day yesterday.

I really appreciate the friendships that I've made throughout this past year through the board. I've learned so much. Thanks Debbie for the post. Martie sends smooches back.
