When I go to the baby bargains page I see the different forums listed in columns. In the third column they always pick a posting from each forum. I've always wondered how they choose that post. Anyone know?

Isn't it just the most recent post?

I believe it is the topic most recently edited, posted, or replied to. It may be different depending on how you've got your viewing criteria set.

I believe it's the most recent post (post, not thread). That's why what you see there may not always match up to the topic of the first thread you see when you go into the forum. If someone changed the topic mid-thread, the new topic shows on the page you're talking about, but not on the actual forum page. Does that make sense?

I've noticed that when I go to the main page (or lobby), it lists all the books. (I rarely go to the lobby, just have the BBB board bookmarked.) The only board that lists a most recent post is the Baby 411 book. And it's been the SAME post forever - but it seems like it's always updated, as it matches whatever date it is when I look. Has anyone else noticed this? And why is Baby 411 the only book that shows its most recent posting?

Did that make any sense?

Makes perfect sense. I've noticed that too and I think it's a bug.

For me, the BBB is the only one bookmarked and the post listed in the 3rd column is the most recently edited thread/post. I don't know what happens from the main page with each of the books.

Hmmm, I guess maybe that's it. It didn't match up so I was wondering :)

I've been noticing that too. It is odd.

Whenever it doesn't match up, the person replying to a thread typed in a different subject rather than just leaving it as "RE: thread title".
