View Full Version : Update on Subchorionic Bleed

The bleeding has all but stopped. Just old yucky brown stuff. There's still more in there, so I was told not to be surprised if it happens again.

The heartbeat is just fine and going strong.

The OB that saw me (not my regular guy) is one of my favourites. She even read a book to Sophie. She said that she sees these subchorionic bleeds fairly often - and in the hundreds she's treated only once did it turn out badly. Apparently the fact since the baby and the bleed are both so high up at the top of my uterus, it's a good thing.

She did do an u/s and said that the bleed area has gotten quite small compared to yesterday. Also got my RhoGam shot. It didn't hurt nearly as much as I remembered. Maybe because she did it in my arm?

I am still supposed to keep it really low key till at least Monday. Jonathan's home tomorrow and will be around all weekend. It's much harder than I thought in not picking up Sophie. I guess good practice for after the next c/s?!

Thanks so very, very much for all your thoughts and prayers.

I missed your other post, glad to hear things are ok now. {hugs} I will keep you guys in my prayers still that it continues to get smaller and heals up.

I've had the rhogam shot before in my arm and in my hip, I swore it hurt worse in my arm! Glad yours hurt less this time around.

(sorry if this isn't coherent I'm sick and over tired!)

That's great news!

And I swear the RhoGam shot is completely nurse dependent. I've had lots, and it makes a huge difference who gives it.

Sending prayers for an easier next few months,
