View Full Version : Tip for moving Toddler to a bed/mattress that I found kinda neat

My friends just moved their 2 1/2 year old son to a bed and they put a pool noodle under the fitted sheet to serve as a little barrier there to keep him in the bed. It was very snug and that might have to do with having a good sheet that is snug. But I thought I'd pass that along. It was very snug and seemed PERFECT!!!!

Neve, that's a great idea!! It's one of those "DUH, why didn't I think of that" ideas that sounds so obvious once you hear it. Your little T is just a little older than Charlie - are you contemplating the big move? I haven't begun to consider it just yet myself.

I can honestly say that I would have NEVER thought of that. Sounds like a good idea though.

Just had another thought about this. Pool noodles are actually just pipe covers and since you don't need a fancy color to put under the sheets; I should just go the the hardware store.

Honey I can't even get him out of my bed...but ready to do it :)...he hogs the whole bed insists on laying horizontal and I am barely hanging on in a KING size bed. Last night I had a cat and Tristan and on my side with not room to even turn around and get a drink of water :)....

I did place him in his crib today for about 10 minutes (he woke up and Steve put him our bed), and was amazed how long he is, he really has out grown his crib I think (it is a round Little Miss Liberty) I like Rachel's idea of a mattress on the floor and do feel like T is old enough for that, he actually has a crib mattress on the floor of his play room (where my computer is) and will crawl up there and fall asleep for a nap when I am working...
