Can someone name this fruit?

I bought something at Whole Foods today that I thought was an apricot. It looked like and apricot on the outside but tasted more like a plum. The inside looked like a plum too. Any ideas?

it was probably a pluot (a plum apricot mix...)
Very yummy, especially dried!
