Avatar disappearing??

Does anyone know why my avatar seems to keep disappearing & the "x" showing up in it's place?? I added it right both times & it seems to last a day or so & then it's gone? What am I doing wrong?

this is happening to me too! Also to pictures I attached to a post. I reattached my avatar but a few days later I got the "x".

Do you have AOL, by chance? Sometimes AOL creates wierd reactions for things.

No, I don't have aol. It's a cable modem. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

It's not just you. I've had to upload my Avatar everyday this week. I have tried using the hosting from here and my webpage. Same problem with both. :(
