Anyone have a nice, small/compact digital camera that they'd recommend?? I heard somewhere there were even ones that you could put on your keychain?! That actually sounds perfect. I'd like to find one that I can just take with me all the time for those Kodak moments with the munchkin. :)

I love, love love my Canon PowerShot S500. It is 5 MP and takes great pictures. It is pretty small (fits in the palm of your hand) and fits easily in my diaper bag pockets. It was about $550.

We researched cameras for about a month before finally deciding on this one.

I have the Canon PowerShot A60 which isn't quite keychain sized, but cost about $250 and takes great pics. :D

I have the Canon Powershot 410, which is tiny like the 500, but 4 megapixels instead of 5, which is definitely enough IMO. Its only $311 at the moment.

We have the Canon A80 It's 4 megapixels and takes great pictures. We had the Canon S30, but it got crushed in my pocket last April. We loved that camera too. You can't go wrong with any of the Canon models IMO.

Depending on how "professional" you want your pics to be or how large you might want to blow up your photos, you may want to avoid the really small cameras out there. Magapixels are important, but the quality of the optics is probably even more important. The smaller cameras just can't get the same quality due to the reduced lens sizes. Of course, if all you want is snapshot photos to send to the grandparents, then even the smaller models will suffice.
