Rashmi,

Just for you, I'm breaking my rule about NEVER posting in the Lounge, and never posting pics.

My father and Neel - with Neel's first popsicle this past June.

Edited: Pic deleted.

Thanks Nita! That is such a sweet picture... brought tears to my eyes. Your dad reminds me of my dad.. can't wait for Leela to be old enough to sit on a bench like that and calmly eat a popsicle... so cute.

Oh Nita!! I want to see!!! Can you reattach it as a JPG file pretty please!!!! And thanks for breaking your rule for me!!

Rashmi, that is a great pic. We used to spend our cranky-crank hours in the dark livingroom, which is about the most use that room ever got. Every time I go in there now I think back to those desperate crying hours with infant Anna, only now I kind of think of it fondly (how sick, I know).

I have a really nice one of my Mom and Anna, but it's at home and I'm at work today. :(

Cute idea Rashmi! I look forward to seeing pics of Leela with her grandfather (or whatever your family calls him). Your mom is beautiful!

Here is one of Jake in the hospital with both sets of grandparents. My parents are on the left (when looking at the pic)(my mom is primarily holding Jacob). My IL's on your right.

Rashmi:

What a great idea. I love the picture of your mom and Leela. And all the other grandparent pictures!

I'm attaching a Shutterfly link of a few since I'm at work. Grandma and Grandpa are DH's parents and Nana and Poppy are mine. I also put in a picture of Mia with my dear Gramma, who just passed away in June of this year. She was Mia's only great-grandparent.

Oh, Rashmi! I know the days of a colicky baby well (DS#1 was colicky big time!).

This is fun--here are some of my pix: the first is of Jack as a baby with my dad, mom, and her "baby," her cocker spaniel Gatsby. The next is Joshua with my parents and brother at his bris. The last is Jack as a baby with MY grandmother, his great grandma whom he calls "Grandie"

Ana,
I just read your post and got really sad for you. I'm so sorry! I know you will tell your little one all about them and show their pictures so they will still feel a part of your lives. But I can see why this post would be really hard for someone who lost her parents. I'm sure (in whatever way you believe this) they are looking down on you and your child very lovingly.

I don't have my favorite on disk but here is the runner up! This is my Dad and Matthew, Christmas 2003.

This photo was taken of my parents and Matthew when he was less than 2 weeks old. My Mom would die if she knew I was posting a picture of her with all her gray hair showing! (she usually dyes it)

I don't have a decent picture available of the grandparents with Sage, but I do have the next best thing. Below is a picture of Sage with his "Nana" - his home care provider. She's a beautiful lady that has become my surrogate grandma and Sage's beloved great-grandma. I took this picture the morning of his first day with her. I just love it because he seems to be looking at her thinking, "I think I'm going to like her". To me it symbolizes the start of our wonderful relationship with her. I'll always treasure the photo - and our Nana.
