Where to buy blackout shades?

And are there any that are better than others? I'm finally admitting that I need to put these suckers up in two of our rooms. I think they will help all of us sleep better.

Is there any place you have had a good experience in buying them?

We bought them at Home Depot for DD's room. They will cut them to order. They are not pretty but they do the trick!

WE got Home depot ones too....alhtough the guy that cut ours was a moron and it took three tries to get them to fit just right (or maybe DH couldn't measure....who knows!!) But they were pretty inexpensive and they were great about us coming back again and again to have them recut.

We got ours at a store called 3 Day Blinds and the shades were made by Hunter Douglas.

We got ours at Eddie Z's. In fact, that's where we got all our blinds, by Hunter Douglas as the previous poster did. I believe Home Depot carries HD blinds as well. You might not get as good customer service, there, though, as you would from a specialty blinds store. Good luck! The blackout shades are definitely great for naps and early bedtimes :)

Lowe's, and yes it was a test of patience to wait for the person who could cut them. LOL. But they're great.

We got our Levolor Faux Wood blinds at Lowes. Not spendy at all - I think $38 a window.

I personally don't like the pull up/pull down blinds, so we went with the wood ones.

And yes, do it during the week, otherwise you (and half of your town's population) will be there for HOURS waiting to have them cut.

We have the Hunter Douglas blackout cellular shades and they are great. Blocks the sun and the heat. We got them from a local mom & pop blinds shop that was cheaper than Next Day Blinds.
