Shoe storage

I've been looking for a covered shoe storage unit that is attractive enough to put in the hallway. I would like it to be something guests can use to store their shoes AND I want it to act as a bench!

I did find this one in Target, but it was wicker, not my first choice.

We have the stairs going to the upstairs in our entryway, so I bought a stairstep basket to hold the girls' every day shoes.

Dh's and mine get tossed into a big wicker basket that sits on the floor in the entry.

I considered a bench with a closing lid, but my sister has one and it REEKS to high heaven every time it's opened! EWWW!

Really??? I never thought of the odor factor!

I wanted something enclosed so my son doesn't play with the shoes :)

I found this on the K-mart web site it has the lid so it is open a little so fingers dont get smashed and also the oder doesn't build up
