I think if you don't vote, you can't complain, and since I like to complain...LOL!

I voted for 'in major elections.' Several times we have just moved close to election time and I either hadn't had the time or taken the opportunity to study up on who's running for local positions or even state positions. I don't feel right voting for something or someone I know nothing about and I won't vote for someone just b/c s/he belongs to the party I usually vote for. But I really do try to learn about the candidates for various offices so that I CAN vote on those positions.

The only times that I didn't vote were when I was out of state in college. It was kind of hypocritical because I was out trying to get people to register to vote. I first registered to vote during my senior year at the end of the year when student elections were. (Isn't that an awesome way to get young people registered) I think that going to school out of state may be a factor of why college age students don't vote. When I was going to school there was no internet so it was difficult to cast an absentee ballot.

yes, but i got my voter registration all messed up at one point, so i missed one or two. but ALWAYS in the major elections (i have voted absentee and have driven around town to voting places when my registration wasn't up to date and i had to clear it up by driving around town during the vote.)
