My photographer has retired, and wouldn't recommend anyone to take her place - DD's photos at Breckenridge were always so beautiful, I'd like to find someone just as great for the next round. We only used her for "special occassion" photographs, like when DD was a flower girl in my sister's wedding, so price isn't as important as quality.

We're in Western Wayne co., but I'd be willing to drive (within reason) if anyone has a portrait photographer they love.

Thanks in advance - Renee

Renee-
My cousin had George and Billie Jean of Creative Images (Canton) take her engagment and wedding pictures. The pictures are beautiful and they are fantastic people. Here is their website with contact info:

I, along with a couple of friends, and my brother had our Senior Portraits taken by them also, but this was years ago, so I am not sure if they only do weddings now, or if they still do studio work.

I know a few in Oakland County, if you can't find any in your area. Email me if you are interested. :)

thanks - I sent you an e-mail a few minutes ago. It's so difficult to find someone who isn't a wedding photographer who does children's photos "on the side."

This may be totally too far, but my photographer whom I ADORED here in CO moved back to MI, but is in Grand Rapids. She does the most amazing work I've ever seen and is so patient with little ones. We used her for maternity, nb, 3/6/9 mos photos before she moved. Excuse my ignorance if she's completely on the other side of the state, but here's her website just in case.

Lynne, Her photos are fantastic... unfortunately, GR is hours away. I sent her an e-mail asking if she can recommend anyone in our area.

Sorry you lost such a talented artist, but thanks for the link - Renee

I've never used them, but a couple of moms from my multiples group have gone to Focal Point Studio. They have 2 studios: 1 in Downtown Farmington and one in Canton.

If Ann Arbor's not too far, John Shultz does nice work, especially if you like black & white. His style is very sharp and simple; no scenic backgrounds or gauzy filters. He can be a bit eccentric, but chalk it up to being an artiste!

quick update - I got an e-mail back from Trudy - I told her she'd come highly recommended by you - she remembered exactly who you were & said you were "one of her favorite customers in Colorado." :)

I love it when people pass along compliments - it's reassuring that everyone doesn't remember the occasional bad, crazy, unorganized, crabby, etc. days, but the nice person we all try to be...

I got a brochure from DD's daycare center about a photographer in Lake Orion:

I don't know her, but the director of the center said a few moms are quite happy with her work. I am thinking about booking a time with her for our Holiday cards.
