Spas in the Waltham/Boston area?

I'm looking to buy a gift certificate to a spa for a new mommy friend of mine who lives in Waltham, MA. I'd like a nice place that will give her a luxe spa feeling (without being off-thw-wall pricey). I'm thinking either a massage or mani/pedi. Anyways, I live in CA so am looking for suggestions from anyone who lives around there. I'm not even sure if Waltham has that type of thing, but I think my friend can make it into Boston as well, if it's reasonably convenient access.

DH and I work in Waltham. I will ask some of my patients tomorrow morning if they know of any spas around. Most of them have lived in Waltham for quite awhile. I'll get back to you tomorrow.

Hi! I used to work in Waltham, and there is a really nice spa there called Daryl Christopher. They actually have a few locations, including Waltham and Boston. http://www.dchristopher.com/

My personal favorite, though, is in Lexington, MA, just about 15 minutes north of Waltham. It's called Bella Sante and is very small, friendly, and not too expensive. For a couple years in a row, gift certificates to Bella Sante were my husband's fall-back gift to me for Christmas, birthdays, etc. :-) There is also a location in Boston, but I haven't been to it. http://www.bellasante.com/

You can't go wrong with either one. Both have won "Best of Boston" awards in years past.
