Today was an exciting day for Tori (and mommy!). She began to babble non-stop this morning. She hasn't done anything other than coo or squeal so far. Now we have lots of dadadadadadadadadadada. Then, she began crawling towards DH this evening. He was sitting near her on the floor eating pizza. We think she might have wanted a slice. ;) She's been creeping/rolling for a month. I'd begun to think Tori would just roll everywhere, but I guess not. Did anyone else have fun firsts this week? Has anyone else noticed clusters of new behavior (baby does a few new things, nothing new for a month or so, and then several more things)?

Congratulations! Every first is fun and exciting. Connor sat up on his own for the first time yesterday. Previously, he would stay sitting up if we sat him down like that, but he is starting to go from lying down to sitting up on his own. It's adorable!

I think DD started the consonant sounds about a month ago. And just like your DD, one day, there was just general cooing and screeching and suddenly there was da-da-da-da! :) She picked up ba-ba-ba almost simultaneously and then later ma-ma-ma and ga-ga-ga.

She had been rolling for about a month and a half and sort of creeping along, just like your DD and then about a week ago, she started kicking with her legs. She's still not crawling with her hands and knees, but she's definitely crawling now, commando style. :)

She's also been sitting unsupported for about a month. That was really exciting because we had to teach her to not cry when she fell over. :)

Oh, and she did something really funny today. Normally, before she goes to sleep, she gets on her stomach and then bounces up and down like she's doing the snake (in break dancing, LOL). Also, I almost always nurse in the side-lying position but about a month and a half ago, sometimes she would rollover onto her stomach and try to nurse from above/forward position. It was awkward, but she seemed delighted by it. Well, now, she'll sometimes roll away after nursing, continue rolling on her stomach and then craw back to nurse. It's quite funny to watch. Tonight, she did that, but then when she nursed, she started bouncing up and down at the same time. I started giggling uncontrollably silently (I often do that if I find something really funny) and she suddenly paused and looked at me. At that point, I broke out into laughter and she grinned and started giggling as well.
:D :D :D
