Painting ?

DH is painting the house slowly, room by room. I was wondering if it is safe for DD to be here. He is using Latex paint ... if that makes a difference. We do have the option to stay at my sisters house right down the road while he's doing it. What do you think?? Thanks!

I'd probably stay at your sister's house, since it's an option. Or, at least during the day be gone as much as possible.

We just had our place painted and painted some ourselves, and the owner of the company who did the professional part recommended we not have Taran there while they were painting, and then that we give it a few days to a week for the fumes to get out. They painted on Monday and Tuesday, and the fumes seemed to be gone by Saturday. My husband or I went over and checked a couple of times just to see how it was doing, too. We stayed at my Dad's for the week based on the recommendation of the company owner, so I'd suggest you stay at your sister's house. :)

I just read on Benjamin Moore's website that they have a low VOC (volatile organic compound) paint. I wonder if that would help with the fumes?
