If you've shopped at Janeville (the new Gymbo company store for women's clothing), please respond with a review!

They were mentioned on NBC Nightly News tonight, and I got curious.

Do a search here and in Reality Layette. There were posts about it when it first opened.

I seem to recall that it was no great shakes.

I hadn't even heard of Janeville but went to their website and see that there is one open in Tysons Corner, VA so I am excited to go check it out in the next couple of weeks!

When I was at my Gymboree yesterday, they gave me a coupon for 20% off at Janeville. Call your local Gymbo and see if they have any!

I used to live near one and only went in there once. The clothing was styled similar to Ann Taylor along with the prices. Shirts/blouses were about $50-60. I can't remember how much pants/capris were, maybe around $60-80? I thought their stuff was cute, but more than I usually spend on myself.

I went once. The store itself is really cute with a 'front porch' look including walking through a painted wooden archway to get into the 'house'.

I like brighter colors (not earth tones) and I was pleasantly surprised at how many I saw. I too had a 20% off courpon. However I was looking at a cardigan and it was $150!!!!!!! Other items were at or approaching $100 (this was recently, Heidi you may have seen cheaper earlier prices or cheaper summer wear?). At this point I knew there were no deals so I just left without even looking at the sale stuff. I normally get clothes at Ross and Marshall's so you can see why I wasn't fond of the prices!

Supposdly Janeville is for the 'Janie & Jack' Mom and with the prices I can totally see that.

It's okay--didn't walk in and say "Wow! I have to have THAT!" about anything I saw. I did end up buying a soft navy skirt that will be great for business travel. It was on sale, plus with the 20% coupon I got from Janie & Jack it was only $45.

I guess what suprised me most is that with it being affiliated with Janie & Jack, I was expecting something a little more classic and fun (like Hanna women's clothes), rather than the bohemian look they seemed to be featuring.

Some cute things, some very pricey. Give it a try -- you might love it!!

I've looked at things in the store, but I haven't bought anything. The stuff was cute and very definitely related to Janie & Jack -- classic styles and fabrics with a bit of hipness/an edge, etc. Think Ann Taylor meets Antrhopologie and Urban Outfitters. I thought the clothes were cute, but way overpriced, even on sale. I would be more likely to shop there in a few years when my kids are out of the super messy stage.
