Please help us find a BIG yellow hat like the one worn by "The Man in the Big Yellow Hat" from Curious George.

I've done a few searches on-line but can't seem to come up with anything. Please, please, pretty please!

This one comes in yellow. I think you can remove the trim:

It's a little cheaper here: http://www.pjstrickshop.com/products/5585.asp

This one is nice and tall. I think you can rip off the trim on it too: http://www.clownantics.com/images/costumes/a20258-9.jpg

Ummm...nevermind. It's $115!

Here you go:

All that is only $9.99!

Anyway, to find more, google "yellow foam cowboy hat"

PLEASE post pics! :)

You done good! That one for $115 is perfect. But, no thanks, I'd rather have some cute dipes. DH is grouchy right now and not wanting to play "yellow hat" with me. But, you are a super slueth! And, the one at shindigz.com comes with all that other loot: It's part of a favor pack :) !!!

Not sure how crafty you are, but your could probably rig something similar with some foam and yellow spray paint. My mom is an elementary school principal and makes her costumes (yes, she dresses up along with the kids and teachers) every year. Most of them involve cutting, spray-painting, and stapling or glueing foam. She is not a seamstress. (Me either!) You could probably cut a big circle for the brim and cut out a whole in the middle. Then cut another circle for the crown of the hat. Bend it into a dome and attach it to the inside circle of the brim. You might even be able to staple (carefully so they don't poke your little man) the two pieces together.

Of course, I'm suggesting this with no real world experience, so take it with a grain of salt. :)

ETA: Just realized that there was a great deal in the PP's message. I'd buy that and forget making one!

Good luck!
