I hope I don't jinx the situation by celebrating ;) but littleman went all night without nursing. It's only the second time I have had so much sleep since he was born. (The other time was because DH took over baby care one night). I have adjusted well to night wakings (and we were down to only one anyway), but waking with littleman this morning to realize how long we'd slept was so refreshing!

I know this is no earth shattering event, but I am just SO happy about it that I had to post. It really DOES get better!! Now I just hope we continue the trend. :)

Congratulations! Talk about a reason to celebrate! I have to confess that I looked at your siggie to try to figure out how old your DS is. I was going to be crushed if he was younger than my DD who hasn't yet slept all the way through! You've given me hope! :)

Oooh, your DD is about the age my DD is. Yes, I had to double-check Littleman's age, although I was pretty sure he was older than DD. It's actually been a rough weekend because DD, who was down to one nursing a night has recently picked up a second nursing. I'm hoping it's because of my temporary decrease in supply because of my period (please someone tell me it's only temporary and it'll come back!), so she needs extra nursing sessions to make up the difference. Either that or if she's undergoing a growth spurt, which I could also live with, because then my supply would increase with the demand, right? Yawn, I'm so tired...

Congratulations, Kit! That's VERY exciting! Here's hoping that it's a permanent change. :) You've given me some hope.

Yes, littleman Simon will be a year old October 30. (I can hardly believe it!) So it has been a long time without a full night's sleep! :)

Every time littleman dropped a night waking I'd be so happy- just to see him resume his old habits (or worse!) in a few days. It's two steps forward, one step back- but you do get there eventually!

Ooh...I'm feeling your pain. DD was down to one waking a night until a few days ago. She's been waking twice and this morning woke up for good at 4:30. Then she woke up tonight for a feeding at 11:30 and it's almost 1 and she's still not asleep. I finally broke down and gave her some Tylenol and a wet washcloth for her to chew on and I even changed her diaper (it was poopy), which is what I thought was causing the sleeplessness. But here it is almost 1.5 hours later and she's still moaning...I'm sooooo tired.... (DH is asleep, though!)
