...because it's the closest state with an In-N-Out Burger. My husband just called me *from* the line at In-N-Out in Mountain View. How can he do this to a pregnant woman??? All I want right now is a burger, fries and a milkshake from In-N-Out. Too bad the stuff does not travel...

Uhm I don't live near you, but can I come too. DH thought I was ridiculous when I told him that I wanted to go to the West Coast to go to an In-N-Out Burger.

Too funny! with my previous pregnancy I craved burgers all the time, I hope this time it'll be different (right now I'm in the craving crackers stage...).

BTW, both our children are going to be very similar in age (Maya: Jan 11, 2003. #2: due May 23) and I live in Cupertino. If you feel like a playdate - send me an email!

Oooh, I'm going to have to stop by when I visit CA this Christmas....
Oh and if anyone is familiar with The Hat in Claremont, CA...those chili fries are to die for! Okay, I might get a coronary afterwards, but it would sure be good! ;-)

My goodness. What a coincidence. I'm sorry to tease you more, but I just sent my DH to our local In-N-Out for dinner. :) I was in no mood to cook tonight.

I totally feel for you. I had Gestational Diabetes during the last trimester w/ DS, and I craved for a vanilla milkshake the whole time. The smell of burgers cooking from In-N-Out also made it difficult to get over the craving.

I'm sure you're right. Bubba is a big fan of those cheeseburgers :)

UMMMMMMMM! and how do you want that burger? I'll take a Double Double Spread and Tomato only with fries and a Diet Coke. DH always gets a Double Double Animal Style with fries and an Arnold Palmer(tea and lemonade mixed). DD likes a grilled cheese plain and DS is a cheeseburger with grilled onions only. :P

That just ruined my dinner! My parents live less than a mile from one, and they are selling their house and moving to Texas. I have tried to tell them how nuts that is, but they just don't get it - YET. They just don't know what life without it is like.

I would gladly join you since I know the stuff doesn't travel well from experience. Actually tried to have a d-d and well done fries delivered with a friend flying from CA. InO is just around the corner from LAX, food went directly into a handheld cooler and carried on the plane. The burger was smooshy, but tasted right. The fries just never revived. But the smell when that cooler was opened, I swear if they could bottle it they'd make a fortune!

That is so funny. I remember in college my roomates boyfriend surprised her by driving up from LA (6 hours) with a Double Double. How happy were we when they started opening In-N-Out Burgers in Northern California!

Maybe we could do a BBB meet at an In-N-Out?

No fair!

Reminds me of the time DH called me drunk from a pub in London telling me all about the stout he was drinking while wearing his new Doc Marten's. Bastard :)

Caroline, I am here! Nolan & I would love to meet with you.

What is it about burgers & babies anyhow? I ate bacon cheeseburgers 2 couple times a week when I was pregnant w/Nolan. I never ate them b/f that.

PS. You would be surprised (or maybe not) how long the lines are there on the w/e & it's been here for a while.

Wah!!! I just out west last week. My DH & I passed an In-n-Out & he said hm, what is that? I just shrugged my shoulders & said don't know! I fear I missed out on something great. Can someone courier a cheeseburger to NC? :)

Steph, I don't think they are all that big of a deal. *shrug* I haven't even had one since they moved to AZ. I think it's probably a bigger deal if you grew up w/them. My xh is fom So Cal & he loves them!
