DD....who Im really upset with right now, drew all over her cabbage patch kids doll's face. A doll that I had when I was little! So Im really upset, this after she drew on the carpet with marker and now a pillow as well (have to clean those too!). Anyone have any magic remedies? The markers say they are washable but they are not the crayola one so who knows how true that is! AHHH~! :(

Rubbing alcohol? It works to get marker off my hands.

Also, you can make a paste of Oxyclean and see if that works.

I was also going to suggest the Magic Eraser...it really does work like magic! but hurry b/c plastic absorbs things. If that doesn't work, try putting some vinegar on it and letting it sit awhile. I saw that for cleaning stains from linoleum.

A product called Remov-zit from http://www.twinpines.com/ will take marker off a doll's face. I would contact the company first to ask if they have used it on Cabbage Patch dolls without causing damage. It is not safe for all vinyls. This stuff gets 40 year old marker off of vintage Barbie dolls. :)

Nail polish remover is a staple in a teacher's classroom. Somehow a regular marker is always used accidentally on the white board and nail polish remover gets it right off.

Make sure to use NON-ACETONE as the regular will melt plastic and/or take the paint/coloring off the face.

benzoyl peroxide (acne cream) worked for ballpoint pen on our bitty baby. You have to leave it in the sun for an hour or so. May take a few iterations of this. Also, disclaimer, I have not tried this on CPK or with felt markers- so go at your own risk.
