that is left when you peel off price tags or stickers? When I traveled to Paris the airport security placed an inspection sticker on the clear plastic part of my stroller canopy and now it's really sticky.

Thanks!

I've always had good luck with Mayonaise or Peanut Butter.

I just realized it sounds like I'm telling you to use them together - but I didn't mean that. You can use one or the other - not sure what happens when you mix them together. You'll have to let it sit for a while before you rub it off.

Hope that helps!

if vegetable oil doesn't work, goo gone should. it's inexpensive and you can get it at target, grocery, hardware store, drug store. apparently it also takes out crayon but i haven't had a chance to try that yet.

Goo gone is awesome!! There is also a product called UN DU that is wonderful for this. You know how there is always a price sticker on the glass when you buy a picture frame?! Ugh!! Hate that!

I use lighter fluid on a rag.
Always have...didn't think there was nay other way, really. I bought goo-gone once, but decided it was like that spray wrinkle-remover stuff. That stuff works just like water in a spray bottle. Goo-gone works just like lighter fluid, which I always have around the house.
It's such a small amount, it doesn't leave a smell.

I have another product that I think is called Goof Off that is citrus based. It has worked well. I picked it up at Michael's a while ago.

Or WD-40. Same idea as Goo Gone and lighter fluid.

Well, the peanut butter got rid of most of it and then I used nail polish remover to clean up the area and all of it was gone. Thanks everyone!

Glad you got the residue off... I hate that! Another idea to file away for the future is rubbing alcohol. I've discovered that it is an amazing cleaner! It also removes hairspray buildup from the bathroom vanity and soap scum from the tub. It's cheap, too.

I see you took care of the problem, but I'll add what we use...

Goo gone
Olive or vegetable oil
WD40
rubbing alcohol

Usually one of these will work.

And you can find the UN DO that someone mentioned in the craft stores as it can be used in scrapbooking.
