after he almost fell asleep in the car while i desperately tried to keep him awake until we got home, schuyler would NOT go to sleep for his nap. he was TOTALLY exhausted from preschool and he HAD to get some rest. so i resorted to tough love. i took all danger and all toys and all books and all stuffed animals, except one, out of his reach. and i left him alone. after a total of an hour, starting with me working with him and putting him back in bed over and over again, i finally just left him alone.

got him to go to sleep on his own. not exactly in his twin bed, though.

i just opened my own thread to read the responses, and i have to admit... i laughed at my own joke. it's ok to laugh at my own pic, right??? i knew i would find him asleep on the floor, but under the crib was too much. :)

Aww, Liza, I love it! These pictures should be kept in a little book for him entitled "Moving into the Big Bed" or something like that. It would make a great book--I know I'd buy it. :)

Keep us updated on his adventures (w/pics of course). :)

That is too funny. I did love the last pic though!

Pretty soon you guys will have a whole album of transition pics that get more and more hysterical. :)

Liza,

That picture is so funny! It reminded me of the time I fell asleep under the bed after I crawled under there to get warm for a few minutes (the heater register was there). I'm hoping it gets easier for you.
