One of the charities we support participates in this program, so I thought I'd check it out. It's pretty cool! When you shop through the iGive site (or use their "Shopping Window") at a participating online retailer, a percentage of your order is donated to the charity of your choice.
The list of retailers looks pretty good (580), and the list of charities is huge (26,203). According to the site, iGive's administrative costs are covered by kickbacks from the retailers and advertising money - so if they say 5% of your purchase is going to a charity, that really means 5%.

I'm going to join and try it out. I'd appreciate any feedback from folks who've used iGive. I tried to do a search of the boards but kept coming up with no results.
