View Full Version : Good heavens, it's a BOY?!?!

I had my ultrasound this morning and I'm no longer in shock - just giggling hysterically at times. Ainsleigh has referred to the baby as a boy, and I kept telling myself it was possible, but holy cow, to have it confirmed - I'm going to have a son. And there's no mistaking it. The tech and the doctor checked several times. What do you think?

LOL, I already went to Naartjie to pick up some blue things. And now I get to think about hot wheels and dinosaurs and mud. Woohoo! Everything else looks healthy and well, and he's even measuring ahead of schedule a few days. Now, if only they could tell us hair color...

Thanks, ladies - I've been reading some of your replies to DH and he is laughing right along with me. I watched the u/s video again last night and just marveled at it all. I'm still giggling, but the thought of a boy is settling in. Yesterday at the mall DH was pointing at all the window displays where there were pictures of little boys saying, "See, he looks happy. See, he's cute! We could have one of those!" I think I'm more excited about finding out what this was than when we found out I was pregnant. Pregnant, we expected. A boy?!?! Well, whoever said it isn't exciting finding out the sex halfway through a pregnancy should be in my shoes. It's like Christmas came early!

Nice picture! Congrats! It seems that once we found out we were having a girl, the boy clothes looked a whole lot cuter!
As for hair color, my 2 brothers both have Ainsleigh's color hair! I'm hoping Cadie's turns as well!
Was Ainsleigh's hair red at birth?

mamahill
11-20-2004, 12:57 PM
Yep - there wasn't a ton of it, but it was definitely red (though for some reason people kept telling me that their baby had red hair when it was born and now it was blonde/brown/black. Ok, didja notice what color MY hair is?!?!). But everyone is different, so Cadie may be a redhead in hibernation at the moment!!

:D I kept saying, "A BOY?!" until finally the tech said, "Here, let me get a REALLY good picture for you," and voila - the above picture. I keep looking at it and giggling.

And I don't know who thinks boys' clothes aren't cute, because Gymboree has the most adorable Monkey and Friends line out right now. I'm ALL about animals. And today I found myself looking at hot wheels... slow down! But shouldn't he have a car from the beginning?

Awww Sarah... you are going to LOVE having a little boy! They really are a TON of fun! I always have fun shopping for boys clothes but there is something about summertime and all those cute little sun dresses and tiny bikini/bathing suits that tug at my heart..... can you tell we really want a girl one day! LOL

I think that every little guy should have a TRUCK/CAR from the start NO doubt.... go ahead and buy a Hot wheels if you find one you like..... there will be many more in your house SOON ENOUGH! LOL

These little Huggy Buggy's are great too!

Sarah,

Sorry to be posting so late on this. I've been outa the loop for a few days. Congratulations! It's just a matter of time before your little man will be pulling on that thang like it was a piece of taffy yelling PEEEE PEEEE!

I come from a family of four girls, no father, a female: cat, dog, hamster, (well you get the picture) and always thought I wouldn't know what on earth to do with a boy if I ever had one. I must say that having DS has been so fulfilling. I notice a difference between him and all the little girl friends he has. At times he is a HANDFULL (Just ask Marissa, Jamie, and Sonia) but I hear they are a bit easier at puberty ;-)
