I just wanted to report that Kaya finally got her bottom teeth this weekend. I can definitely feel them, although the right one is more visible than the left. She keeps on pulling her lips over her gums like she's trying to feel them. She also seems to run her tongue over them. It's rather cute to watch her. :P

This weekend, she also learned how to sit up on her own and has also figure out how to get back down. The first couple times (I watched her on the video monitor), she got up on her hands and feet with her butt way up in the air (straight legs) until she fell backwards on her butt. Then she pulled herself up and looked around. When I walked in with the video camera, she turned around, looked at me, and smiled. She looked so pleased with herself. It was SOOO cute!

She can also stand while holding on to something (but can't pull herself up into the standing position) and if she's in the right mood, she'll cough back at you with a smile if you cough while looking at her.

Anyway, I just wanted to share. :)

Go Kaya!

so this must be the fun things I have to look forward to?! Griffin isn't doing any of this (although he has 5 teeth now & another one almost popping thru!) I think Griffin is a procrastinator just like his dad :) he is content with the status quo!

Yay Kaya! Isn't it funny how they seem to not do anything for so long and then do so much at once? Just wait until she starts sitting up during diaper changes! :)

How cute! And congrats on the teeth! Taran spent awhile feeling his teeth up when he first got some too. Hopefully Kaya won't do what he did when he got some upper ones as well - he spent awhile driving us insane by grating them together.

It all sounds adorable though! :)

Noooooooo!!! ...I'm having enough trouble keeping up with her when she crawls away, lol! I think it's time to use Burton White's non-negotiable strategy for diaper changes. DH recently figured out a method by which he can prevent her from rolling. I'll have to try a variation of his technique.

Awww. Soooo cute!

A really good "teether" is a big cold raw carrot. Big enough so she can't bite a piece off. It was wonderful for Sophie!

Just remember that sooner or later you will be missing those days were she's still stationary ;) :P.

Go Kaya!! Great job!!

LOL about the sitting during diaper changes... how soon we forget that that is all they could do.. flip and sit. Now it is flip, stand and RUN!
