I'm meeting my post partum doula on Saturday at 11am. This is the second time I've spoken with her and I'm not getting the warm fuzzies I thought I would.

So please think good doula thoughts for me!

Marisa I felt the same way about the first doula that I hired, she was a little too "scrappy doo" acting for me and too gung ho. I went with my gut and found the most marvelous women in the world...she and her hubby are actually coming for dinner tonight it became a friendship!!!!!

Go with your gut...
For your sake I hope after meeting her your gut is you love her for I know it is late for you to go find someone else...

good luck...but go with your gut!!!

I'm hoping that she's just not a phone person.

Fortunately, the woman that runs the doula service has seven of them that work for her (she's also a doula herself). One of the main reasons I chose to go with this woman is that all of them happen to be not only RNs but also breast feeding specialists. I'm going to give it a try again, but if it doesn't work out, I won't freak like last time.

The thing with this one I'm meeting tomorrow is that she can only work till 1pm - so she'd be here 9am-1pm. I figure my "out" with her is to tell the owner doula that I need somebody later in the day.

But, yes, for the money we're shelling out, I really want somebody I click with.
