Hugs & Get Well Vibes for Brigamaman

I heard from Trish and she had a hellish week with Cadie and Brig. Cadie spent Tuesday night at the hospital.

Here's a little rundown from Trish:

"Cadie spent last night in the hospital. I took her for her 2 week well visit yesterday and I took Brig in as well because he's been wheezing and coughing. Our ped thought Cadie looked as though she was breathing rapidly and wanted to be sure she didn't have a virus of some sort. Apparently viruses can take a bad turn pretty quickly in a newborn. So...Cadie and I headed over to the hospital and she was admitted for the night. On top of that Brig is sick and I didn't want to leave him either. My stomach is turning just thinking about the whole thing. Anyway, Cadie had an RSV swab which was negative, bloodwork which showed a slightly elevated white blood cell count (my wording may be a bit off) meaning that she has a little virus, and she was hooked up to an oxygen saturation/pulse moniter for the night. Everything looked good this am, so we were released. Now we are just keeping our eye out for anything out of the ordinary- fever, problems nursing, etc. And... she's got conjunctivitis on top of that! "

We're all doing a lot better. Brig is feeling better. He's not wheezing as much as he was- so now he's just left with a wicked cough. Cadie is doing fine. She has a cold- but so far it's not that bad. She's nursing fine and has no fever, so I'm not as worried as I was at first.
