So, all of our surrounding neighbors have gone CRAZY with the outdoor Christmas decor (hello, it is not even December yet!), and DH was getting teased mercilessly today for our lack of holiday bling. He has gone totally Clark Griswold on me and instructed me to buy a truckload of lights and stuff. Where is the best (cheapest, considering the quantity I will need) place to get them? Has anyone ever ordered stuff online?

TIA.

Have you checked out Costco?

Lowes and Home Depot are also good.

Make sure you get the ones that keep the strand going even if one bulb goes out.

Oh - and be certain you get ones appropriate for where you're putting them - interior versus exterior ones. My Grandfather used to wrap a baggie around the connecting plugs just to be sure snow/water wouldn't get in there.

I always stock up at ACO, ACE, or similar hardware store - last year I think I paid something ridiculously cheap like 1.49 a box... check out your newspaper fliers - this time of year, every small store should have them on sale.
