How hard would it be to remove an embroidered name from a quilted Christmas stocking? I finally decided on a PBK stocking for DD, and they are sold out! Ack! I am SO disappointed! I looked on eBay, and I'm wondering if it would be worth the time and money to buy one with the wrong name, and then have the name removed and DD's name embroidered in its place. Thoughts from those of you who are embroidery savvy?

I have removed and re-embroidered things in the past. The easiest way to remove stitching is with an electric shaver. I have one at home, I think its called the Peanut. You basically "shave" off the stitches. I would think that an embroidery store could do this for you.

Crisis averted! I realized that I could call an actual PBK store to see if they still have the stockings, and I found the one I was looking for! :-) No free embroidery when you buy them at the store, but I can have her name put on by someone local.
