We just moved to Geneva IL and I need to find a new Ped. We've not met many neighbors to ask for recommendations. There is practice right down the road which would be very convenient, and is covered under our plan.

But what I want to know is if there are any web tools or other resources I can use to evaluate potential pediatricians. With three kids, I do not have the time to perform any in-person interviews. And I want to find one fairly soon as the baby is due for another well child visit.

Any advice? Thanks!

Are you breastfeeding? If so, you might want to attend a La Leche League meeting and ask the moms there for recommendations.

You can always check out the hospital web site that they are affiliated with. Most tend to give more info about the docs, as far as schooling, years of practice, and "philosophy". Geneva is beautiful......DS was born there.

I have a few friends in Batavia and one in North Aurora - do you want me to ask them for ped recommendations? Not sure how far it might be for you, but it might give you a place to start.

I have a friend in Elgin (grew up in St. Charles). If you'd like, I can ask her if she'd recommend her ped.
