Sorry for inflicting yet another card on your guys, but I respect your opinions, and would like some help with the font. DH is no help and basically says it's all good, but I'd like something that will really stand out. I'm unsatisfied with the font that I have for the Merry
Christmas, but I think I'm okay with the font I used for the quote. Also, do you think the snowflake should be rotated, or more symmetrical?

Oh, and Rashmi, after I get each of the writing, picture, snowflake, etc., will it look best if I flatten it or merge the layers before printing?

Thanks!

First of all, the picture is wonderful! You all look so cute! I love it!

You might try rotating the snowflake a bit, but I kind of like the "unexpected" quality of it, if that makes sense.

I am not a "font" expert, but perhaps try something that is more formal/traditional/flowery (for both areas of text) that complements the picture better--just a suggestion!

Good job!

I think it looks great too. Darling photo! How cute does your family look and Kaya is just so beautiful.

I agree that maybe a different font that better ties the messages and the picture together would be worth trying out.

Eileen -
how CUTE is that picture?!

Ok, I've got zero creativity & no photoshop talents but I do like the font for the quote/bible verse. Not 100% sure on the Merry Christmas.

Oh - just saw Rashmi's suggestions/changes. I really like how she used the snowflake tinier to separate the Merry Christmas with the bible verse.

Okay, I think you rock! Again! :) I like the white font much better than the green, and DH definitely prefers it that way (he's into monochrome). I was thinking of using Edwardian Script for the Merry Christmas, but I think I like your font better. What are the two fonts that you used?

I'm going to try it with both snowflakes--I'll let you know how they turn out.

Yeah, how clever is that? I kept trying to figure out where to put the snowflake and it was really bugging me because I didn't quite like it where it was. I think it's perfect placement the way Rashmi did it. :)

I believe it is called Bickley Script LET. Both texts are the same font.
Oh, the red was darker too

Okay, DH is going to see if he can find the font somewhere.... I definitely like the font.

What's the hex code on the red?

Thanks! It's the only professional pics we've had done and while it might be fun to do them more often, most of our pics are done with my digital camera. I might take flagger's suggestion, though, and arrange a "studio" in my house with some plain sheets and props. Surely we could come up with some "professional" looking pics of DD. :)

Hee, hee, I thought as an expert of photoshop, you'd be able to decipher that one. :) Actually, I figured out how to do it--I just downloaded your picture and used the dropper tool to select the color on your picture.

By the way, how come your font is so much less fuzzy than my font?

DH is still working on tracking down that font...

Thanks everyone for your kind comments!

Okay, based on the Rashmi's wonderful suggestions and the input of everyone here, I ended up with this final product. Rashmi, no luck on getting Bickley, but I did find a free "script" that I think is pretty nice. And for those of you looking for free fonts, check out this website: http://www.simplythebest.net/fonts/

I like the way it's organized and it's so easy to download the free fonts.

Okay, here's the card:
