Clueless Question, please help.

Can someone please explain the Browniefairy to me? I see that there is a user id called browniefairy, is it one person that sends people brownies in the mail? Or are there several people that share this ID? And how do they get people's addresses? This just seems a little odd to me and I would like to understand all of these brownie posts.
