I'm in a Pollyanna (and so wishing I wasn't in) and need to make a list of 3 gifts I want for $75 or less. (Not a gift for DS, but for me). HELP!!! I have NO idea what to ask for besides gift certificates and diaper bags (and I highly doubt any of the participants even knows what a diaper bag is -- I'm one of 2 moms in the group of about 25). I need your advice. My list is due by Monday. TIA

PS DH also has to have a list so send ideas for him, too.

Julie-

What is a Pollyanna???

Some ideas for gifts:

Seifeld DVDs - About $32 each

Subscription to a magazine - Cook's Illustrated is a nice albeit expensive magazine ($25)

Some really good hand cream (L'Occitane has excellent shea butter hand cream for about $22)

Hobby supplies depending on what you like to do - knitting, scrapbooking, etc.

Sorry I don't have more, but my mind keeps turning to gifts for kids since that is what I have been wrapping tonight.

ETA: I thought you needed 3 gifts to total less than $75. Or is it that each can be no more than $75? If the second is true, then you can go for some more expensive items...

A good kitchen knife
Perfume
Hanna long/short johns
A subscription to People magazine

A pollyanna (spelling?) is a gift exchange.

Bath and Body works has great pampering kits. Most of them are $50 or less: http://www.bathandbodyworks.com/browse.do?nav_keyword=gifts.find_perfect_gift

Victoria Secret is selling the Garden line for 7 products for $35. Their kits with perfumes (I personally love the red "Very Sexy") is $59. http://www2.victoriassecret.com/beauty/

cookbooks

scrapbooking supplies

ornaments (for example if there are any Halmark ornaments you wanted this year and haven't bought)

glove/scarf set

books (we try to get most of ours from the library because we're outgrowing our shelves, but I know there are always parenting books I want to own).

Fun small appliances (the new george foreman grill, smoothie maker, etc.)

Paraffin dip thingee

Photo albums

Yankee Candles

I'm out, this is hard because I always want lots of small stuff that is dirt cheap individually (we're cutting down on gifts this year so all DH is getting me is my stocking filled with lots of tiny gifts) ;)
