If so, do you have a pediatrician that you like? I am having a time finding someone I am comfortable with. I've tried 4-5 and the only one I liked was at the after hours clinic, and when I called about her she is part time and only works at the after hours clinic! At this point I am willing to drive to find someone I like. Any advice would be appreciated!

Becky, I'm not a Kaiser Permanente member, but I know several people who rave about Dr. Claude Gauthier in Albany (GA). I have no idea if he takes that insurance plan or if you're anywhere near southwest Georgia, but I thought I'd throw his name out there.

I will not give you the name of my smug absentee pediatrician. :)

I am in Georgia (Atlanta area) and I also have Kaiser. I live far from any one Kaiser building though, so I use what are called "affiliate" doctors. I have an affiliate primary care physician, an affiliate ob/gyn and now an affiliate pediatrician.

Here is a link to the page that you can begin searching for an affiliate doctor. http://members.kaiserpermanente.org/kpweb/medicalstaffdir/gacontinue.do

That link is for HMO Kaiser members, if you're not an HMO member then go here and select which type you are... http://members.kaiserpermanente.org/kpweb/medicalstaffdir/initsearch.do?fromGeo=true

I hope this helps! It may give you more options if nothing else.

Edited to add: This is a more direct link to locate a Kaiser HMO affiliate pediatrician in Georgia. http://members.kaiserpermanente.org/kpweb/medicalstaffdir/specialtysearch.do

EDITED: The links do not seem to be working just right, you'll have to navigate through their website, let me know if you need help.

BIL & SIL like Dr. Arnold at the Kaiser near Town Center (Marietta/Kennesaw area). They like him because he warms the stethoscope before putting it on their son. :)
