Hi all,
I just spoke to Lisa and she asked me to update you all. They took Jack in and the head of peds GI looked at the x-rays. He was pretty alarmed and said they were pretty close to a complete obstruction and the best option was surgery. Lisa was actually a little relieved only b/c anesthesia means Jack won't remember anything vs invasive/painful procedures he'd remember. Jack was admitted and the surgeon is going to squeeze him in tomorrow. Lisa sounded good (all things considered) and said Jack has been a trooper thus far. Lisa managed to get Jack excited about the hospital by focusing on buttons on the bed. Her DH is spending the night with him. B/c this is not considered "elective" surgery, they were fit in, so they don't know exactly what time surgery will be. The big challenge right now is Jack can't have food after midnight and no one knows how long the little guy will have to go hungry before surgery. I know she'll appreciate all of your prayers/positive thoughts. She said she'll try to post tomorrow.
