Hi all,

I just got off the phone with Marisa and she wanted me to let everyone know that she is being released at 6pm tonight. She's having some problems with pain control, but was very excited because Amelia had just breastfed for 15 minutes on the left side. Marisa said that this was the first time Amelia would "drink from the tap," and that she has a good strong suck. Yeah!!

Yay! Welcome home, Marisa and Amelia, when you get there. And Amelia, you keep up that drinking from the tap. It's good for you! ;)

Thanks for posting this, Alexis.

Yeah! I just want to send out my congratulations to Marisa on the birth of her daughter Amelia (and her subsequent swig from the tap). I'd been out of town for 3 weeks and it's good to get back online! Welcome home Mom and Baby!

So glad you are finally home-as you should be by now. And so glad that Amelia is loving the boob. Hope you can rest tonight and enjoy being home. I bet Sophie'll be thrilled to have you home.

Thank you! Rashmi inspired me to buy photoshop elements and thanks to her tutorial I was finally able to make one.

That's wonderful that she is going home and that Amelia is nursing better. I hope the pain is under control soon and that the nursing continues to get easier. Congratulations again, Marisa, and welcome home!

Welcome home Marisa and Amelia! I am glad nursing sounds like it is on track.

Just a note on pain control post c/s - I had awful incision pain that no one at the hospital seemed to be concerned about (as evidenced by them regularly forgetting to bring me pain meds which only partially controlled the pain). Well the reason was made clear to me about 5 days pp when my incision started throbbing, then oozing and eventually opening up about a cm. An ER visit confirmed an infection which no one had even considered at the hospital. Sorry I am sure this is TMI and not maybe even applicable to you, but just thought I would mention it in case no one has thought about it.

I hope Marisa and Amelia had a great first night home! I'm sure everything seems better and more manageable in the comfort of your own home.

Hooray! Welcome home to Marisa and Amelia. I'm sure Sophie will be thrilled.

I hope they find some good pain meds for you, Marisa. Sounds like Amelia is doing well!
